The end of the 1st round of the “Lidice for the 21st Century” competition is approaching!
Registration for the 21st edition of the international knowledge competition “Lidice for the 21st Century” is open only until Thursday, 26 February 2026. By Friday, 27 February 2026, participants must submit their answers to the competition questions as well as a literary work on one of the assigned topics.
So far, more than 2,400 pupils from 152 schools have shown the courage to take part in this challenging competition, which makes us very happy!
The results of the first round of the competition and the school competition will be published on 1 April 2026 on the website www.lidice21.cz.
We would like to remind you that the 42 most successful pupils and students (21 from each category) will advance to the second round of the competition. Starting 10 April 2026, a new special set of test questions will be prepared for them, and contestants will have time to submit their answers until 19 April 2026.
The long-awaited ceremonial announcement of the results will take place on 26 May 2026 in Kutná Hora.
